Piriformis Syndrome
Hip and buttock discomfort that may contribute to sciatic-like symptoms.
Piriformis syndrome involves irritation of the sciatic nerve as it passes near or through the piriformis muscle in the hip. This can lead to discomfort in the buttock, hip, or along the back of the leg, sometimes mimicking sciatica.
Chiropractic care for piriformis syndrome focuses on improving hip and pelvic movement, reducing muscular tension, and addressing spinal or postural factors that may contribute to nerve irritation. Treatment is conservative and tailored to the individual’s movement patterns and symptoms.

"Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do."
—Matthew 9:12
