Our Chiropractic Philosophy

Gold Divider

Chiropractic care is not practiced the same way in every office. As a result, patients may encounter very different experiences depending on treatment & adjusting techniques, use of imaging, and clinical philosophy.

Here at Harmony Health Clinic, decisions are guided by patient goals, exam & imaging findings. We place a strong emphasis on education and shared decision-making. Patients are encouraged to ask questions, and we take time to explain findings so they understand what is happening in their body.

We are honest about expectations: clinical care can help move someone part of the way forward, but lasting improvement depends on patient actions outside the office.

Chiropractic techniques making the most impact in our clinic are Gonstead, Thopmson, Flexion/DistractionActivator, and Diversified.

Adjustments are a tool— but not the only tool. In many cases, other therapies may be more appropriate.

Above all, our goal is for patients to leave having learned something meaningful. Knowledge they can carry forward in their health journey, regardless of how long they remain under our care

What to Expect at Your Visit

Gold Divider

Our chiropractic care focuses on improving mobility, reducing pain, and supporting long-term function

1

Evaluation

Your visit starts with a detailed history and physical examination to understand how pain, movement limitations, and daily activities are affecting your function. When appropriate—especially in cases involving prior trauma, degeneration, or complex symptoms—imaging such as X-rays may be used to guide clinical decisions and prioritize safety.

This evaluation helps determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate and which therapies may be most beneficial.

2

Treatment

Treatment is guided by examination and imaging findings, as well as your comfort and tolerance. Chiropractic adjustments are used selectively and are not automatically performed at every visit. When other therapies are more appropriate, those are prioritized instead.

All care is conservative, specific, and individualized. Techniques and approaches may change over time based on how your body responds and progresses.

3

Follow-up

Progress is reassessed regularly to determine how function is improving and whether care should continue, change, or conclude. Visit frequency is based on the time needed for tissue healing and functional recovery—not on preset schedules.

For chronic conditions, ongoing care may be discussed when appropriate to help support function and slow progression. Recommendations are always explained clearly, and patients are encouraged to ask questions and participate actively in their care decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about chiropractic care at Harmony.

How much does a chiropractor cost in Naples?

The initial exam is $180 (includes digital X-rays, Physical exam, Therapies, Adjustments) and follow-up visits are $60. HSA & FSA are accepted.

Do you take insurance?

We don't bill insurance directly. On request, we can provide superbills which you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Transparent pricing is published up front — no surprise fees.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Appointments are preferred, but same-day appointments are often available — please call (239) 596-4801 ahead to confirm a provider is on-site. This keeps wait times short and lets us give every patient a full evaluation.

Do you treat car-accident or personal-injury cases?

No — Harmony does not accept personal-injury or motor-vehicle-accident (PI/MVA) cases. Our focus is wellness, pain relief, and active-lifestyle care. If you've been in an accident, we're glad to point you toward a PI-focused clinic.

What chiropractic techniques do you use?

Dr. Lamers is trained in several methods and matches the technique to the patient: Diversified, Gonstead, Activator (low-force, instrument-assisted), Thompson Drop, Flexion-Distraction, and spinal decompression. If there are any techniques that you don't like, please inform the Dr.

Is chiropractic safe for seniors?

Gentle, low-force techniques like the Activator method and flexion-distraction are well suited to older adults and anyone who prefers a softer approach. Your care plan is built around your exam findings, comfort, and health history.

Will I need X-rays?

Not always. Digital X-ray is taken at the initial exam only when it's clinically indicated to confirm a diagnosis or rule out a concern — it's included in the $180 exam fee when needed, never an add-on surprise.
